Sound familiar? You're not alone.

She keeps saying she's fine. I'm not so sure.

What if Mom falls and no one is there?

I can't keep leaving work, and I can't be in two places at once.

The last agency sent a different stranger every week.

Getting help isn't giving up on your parent. It's how you keep them at home, and get to be their son or daughter again, not only their caregiver.

Trusted by families. Loved by our team.

"From the beginning, Lucky stood apart."

Pam E., daughter of a WeCare client
Pam E.Daughter of a WeCare client · Palo Alto

For more than ten years I have been closely involved in caring for my mother, and I visit her three to four times each week. Before we found Lucky, I worked with several different agencies and independent caregivers. From the beginning, Lucky stood apart. She has developed a wonderful relationship with my mother and has shown extraordinary patience, compassion, and understanding.

My mother is wheelchair-bound and needs assistance with essentially every aspect of daily living. Lucky is knowledgeable, experienced, and very professional, always treating my mother with dignity and respect. She is a strong advocate for my mother, and the caregivers she has selected are well-groomed, polite, caring, dependable, and professional.

Lucky has earned my trust over many years. I recommend them without hesitation.

From our team

"I feel truly blessed and grateful to have such a kind, compassionate, and supportive employer. Lucky genuinely cares about both her clients and employees, and makes our workplace feel like a close-knit team rather than simply a job. It is a privilege to be part of a workplace where I feel appreciated, supported, and valued."

"I first met Ms. Lucky in 2019 while working as a CNA/MedTech at a facility in Redwood City. Even as a new employee, I quickly learned that she had earned a reputation as one of the very best CNAs on staff. Our paths crossed again in 2023 when she invited me to join her team. Ms. Lucky is hands-down one of the best leaders I have ever worked for: exceptionally generous, kind, empathetic, and deeply committed to both her clients and her staff. She even flew our team and clients to Hawaii to celebrate the agency's first anniversary!"

Meet Lucky

"I used to dream of flying. I found something better, the people I was meant to care for."

Lucky came from hospitality, searching for her purpose. A caregiving job in 2017 changed her life. After losing both her parents, and inspired by her mother, a midwife, she built WeCare around a simple belief: great care starts with truly knowing the person.

One family had been through nearly 10 agencies and 40 caregivers before they found her. Lucky was the one who stayed. That is why WeCare matches by personality and need, not by who happens to be free.

What happens next

Three steps, and most of the work is ours.

  1. 1

    Tell WeCare about your parent

Three questions on this page, or one phone call. Two minutes either way.

  2. 2

She visits, and it costs nothing

WeCare meets your parent at home, listens, and writes the care plan: which hours, which tasks, what to watch for. Nothing to sign, and no charge whether you go ahead or not.

  3. 3

You meet the caregiver before care starts

WeCare picks the caregiver we think fits and you say yes or no. Care can often start within days. If the fit turns out wrong, say so and we re-match.

What you get, in writing

  • A care plan with the hours, the tasks and your parent's routines
  • A caregiver matched on personality, not on who happened to be free
  • WeCare employees, background-checked, trained and insured by us
  • An update after visits, so you hear how the day went without asking
  • A re-match any time the fit is wrong, at no cost
Transparency

Never wonder how mom or dad is doing.

Most agencies leave families guessing behind messy paper notes. Behind the scenes, WeCare runs on AddisCare, a HIPAA-compliant care platform, so our notes, care plans and scheduling stay sharp, and the updates you get from us are clear, current and consistent.

Straight answer

The care you'd want for your own parents.

Every WeCare caregiver is our own employee, hired, trained, insured and matched by us, never a contractor. Proof of insurance and our state licence are available on request. Here is who that suits, and who it does not.

This is for you if

  • You are looking at care for a parent in Menlo Park, Palo Alto, Redwood City or nearby.
  • You want the same caregiver each time, not whoever is free that week.
  • Your parent needs help with daily living: bathing, meals, medication reminders, getting around, company.
  • You want to be told how the day went instead of having to ask.

We are not the right fit if

  • Your parent needs skilled nursing, wound care or physical therapy. That is home health, which takes a different licence. Call anyway and WeCare will point you to someone good.
  • You need someone starting in the next few hours. Call (650) 546-9387 and she will tell you honestly whether she can staff it.
  • You want the lowest hourly rate on the Peninsula. Our caregivers are employees, insured and trained, and that costs more than hiring privately.

Let's talk about your loved one.

Every consultation is free, an honest, no-pressure conversation about the care that would fit your family best.

Good questions

The things families ask us first.

It starts with a free consultation, at your home or over the phone. We take time to understand your loved one: their routine, health needs, personality and preferences. From there we build a personalized care plan and match them with a caregiver chosen to fit who they are. You review everything before any care begins.

Care is tailored to each person, so the cost depends on how many hours and what type of support your loved one needs, anywhere from a few hours a week to around-the-clock care. We'll give you clear, honest numbers during your free consultation, with no obligation and no surprises.

Matching is the heart of what we do, it's the reason WeCare exists. If the fit isn't right, just tell us and we'll adjust or re-match until your loved one is genuinely comfortable. Good care is built on trust, and we don't settle until it's there.

Yes. We provide care 24/7, from short daily visits to overnight and full around-the-clock support, so your loved one always has help when they need it.

Often within a few days of your consultation, depending on the type of care needed. If your situation is urgent, let us know and we'll do everything we can to help right away.

Yes. Every caregiver is our own employee, never an independent contractor. Each is background-checked, reference-verified and trained, and all staff and clients are covered by our public liability, professional indemnity and workers' compensation insurance.
